Every citizen is entitled to health services through one of the HMOs (Kupat Holem) according to the Health Insurance Law.

Basket of health services include:

• Visiting clinics of different specialties
• Hospitalization and (operations)
• Laboratory tests
• Emergency medical services
• Diagnostic and therapeutic radiation
• Nuclear medicine
• Delivery and fetus testing
• Genetic consultation
• Nursing services and child development
• Elderly care and rehabilitation
• Mental Health
• Preventive tests to detect cancer
• Cardiac rehabilitation
• Medications
• Other services
 

Certain services are provided by the Ministry of Health and the municipality such as: vaccination - preventive medicine – health services for school children - child development - nursing home stays - mental health services –purchase of medical devices - rehabilitation walking and mobility.
